FAQ

How can we help?

At Resident Pheasant one of our main values is to be kind to the planet with our key driver being to get plastic BARRED from chocolate packaging. That’s why we wrap all of our bars in NatureFlex™  compostable bags which is a compostable cellulose film from Futamura which is made from GMO-free renewable resources. It creates a barrier protection that keeps chocolate fresh and as delicious as ever while preventing future harm to our gorgeous earth.

All of our postal packaging is also recyclable and compostable, from our stickers to our gift cards we have done our bit to help protect the planet while delivering your delicious Resident Pheasant chocolates.

We source our Cocoa ethically from the Ivory Coast and handcraft the chocolate in Cornwall. All of our chocolates are inspired by British nostalgic, retro flavours with a contemporary twist so we wanted to keep our luxury chocolate made with expertise here in the UK. Our business HQ are in Lindfield, West Sussex, which is where all our gift packing happens.

Our second value is to be kind to Farmers. That’s why we chose to partner Cocoa Horizons’ whose mission is to improve the livelihoods of cocoa farmers and their communities through the promotion of sustainable, entrepreneurial farming, improved productivity, and community development that protects nature and children. Together with Cocoa Horizons Foundation, we take a long-term view, working with farmers to improve cocoa production practices, while at the same time addressing critical social challenges where farmers and their families live.

Our Resident Pheasant chocolates are made in a factory that also handles ingredients containing wheat, dairy, nuts & egg. We are currently looking to source products that will suit those that have intolerances and allergies in the future!

Our Resident Pheasant Dark chocolate range is Vegan Friendly. The chocolate is made using Soya rather than Milk. You can find our vegan range here. We also do Vegan Hot Chocolate Bombes and Buttons.
